Please Note - This addon is currently in BETA. This means there may very well be errors, and it's up to you guys to tell me any you find so I can fix them. The source code is pretty messy so I won't be releasing it yet. It is highly recommended to sign the bot into a blank account anyway, so if you think I'm trying to steal empty accounts, don't use it.
Well guys here it is! SidaLerts V1.0 - The new MSN notifier for GPBot. ![]() How does it work? SidaLerts essentially turns your GPBot into an MSN client. It connects to the MSN network and acts as a middleman between WoW and your MSN client on your mobile, or wherever you're signed on ![]() Installation (Please remember only Donors can use addons.) Download the file from the bottom of this post. It contains two files. Extract both to your AddOns folder in your GPBot directory. Setup Once you have the bot installed, open GPBot and go to the addons tab. You should see your current addons displayed on tabs, one of which will be SidaLerts. Create a new hotmail account. While the bot does not have to use a fresh account, any conversations sent to SidaLerts will be sent to WoW. It is therefore recommended to have a fresh account for the bot to use and have only your email address added as a contact. Put the email address and password for the bot in the correct boxes. This is the blank MSN account that the bot will sign in to. Put your MSN address in the Contact Email box. This is the msn address YOU will be using to speak to the bot. You MUST have already added and accepted yourself on the bot's MSN account. Once all of the above is done, the routine is as follows: 1) Press Connect before starting the GPBot. Wait until Status shows "Signed in to the Messenger network as <Your MSN Name>" 2) Use TestMSG if you want to check the connection between the client and your contact email over MSN. 3) Use TestWhisp to check whispers are sent correctly in-game. This function will ONLY work with the bot running. 4) Enjoy ![]() The four steps above are repeated in the Information box on the bot. Buttons in more detail TestMSG will send a test message to your contact email address. This will confirm you have a stable connection between both accounts. You should use the computer or phone you plan to use for this test. TestWhisp will send a whisper to the game to check it's working ok. The bot must be running for this otherwise you'll recieve an error. If you do this by mistake, simply press Continue on the error box. How do I send a message? On your MSN, you send a message as you would expect to in the game. The basic commands are as follows: Reply to whisper: /r <message> Send a whisper: /w <name> <message> Say: /s <message> Yell: /y <message> Guild: /g <message> Disconnect from WoW: /camp An example: If someone sends you a whisper, type "/r Why hello there!" without quotes into MSN to reply. I'm hoping to add commands to SidaLerts for things such as displaying bot information etc. Anything else I need to know? That's it! You have now fully configured SidaLerts to send you in-game messages! Just hop off to work or school and be ready to reply to whispers instantly. iPhone users If you have an iPhone or a phone that supports Push notifications, I would recommend Meebo for your phone. It'll send a push when you get a message, meaning you can leave your screen turned off and be alerted when your message arrives. Great. So what can I do for you? As said above, this is in BETA phase. That means there will probably be a lot of bugs appearing when people use it differently to me. I haven't had much time to test it so this will almost definatly be the case. If you get an error or find a bug, please post it here. I'll try to fix it asap. Please also let me know of any features you would like to see added that aren't listed below. ![]() Hope you like it guys. A quick post saying thanks if you like it goes a long way :] SidaLerts V1.0 Planned future updates: Proxy Support Better error handling "Remember me" for email details Custom commands (such as recieving game stats) Thanks to: Monorail0 for his quick guide on accessing GPBot functions. guizmows for GPBot. Thanks guiz let me know how it goes. By the way, does GPBot contain a function to return all online friends? As an array or anything? I'd like to add a function to display a list of all online contacts in the player's friends list, and if possible members who are online in guild.

There no such function in GPBot, because this is useless for a bot.
